STATE BAR'S "POSITIVE MESSAGING" YOUTUBE CONTEST

~Cash Prizes for Law in Your Daily Life Videos~

Only two weeks left to enter the Maryland State Bar Association's YouTube “Positive Messaging" Video Competition -- "Law in Your Daily Life." This MSBA public education initiative, launched to help people better understand the justice system and their role in it, is looking for imaginative three minute videos depicting how the law affects people's lives. The winners will receive cash prizes and all submissions must be received by March 15, 2009.

Videos should be three minutes or less and creatively capture the essence of the law in the individual's or group's daily life. Submissions will be judged in three video categories:

--under 18 individual or group
--18 and older individual or group
--People's Choice - all entries eligible

The deadline for entries is March 15, 2009, and the contest criteria, rules and submission details may be found at www.msba.org/?dailylife.htm.

A "jury" of MSBA volunteer leaders will select the following First, Second and Third-place winners:

--First Place: $500
--Second Place: $300
--Third Place: $200

The winners will be announced on May 13, 2009, at MSBA's Law Day program and the winning videos will be aired at this event, with the winners invited to attend. For further information, go to www.msba.org.
