Sean J. Rogers
Douglas M. Bregman, of the Bethesda law firm Bregman, Berbert, Schwartz & Gilday, LLC, was voted onto the adjunct faculty at Columbia Law School. Bregman will teach at Columbia in the fall and continue teaching at Georgetown University Law Center in the spring.

HIKE Foundation named Paul Tiburzi, managing partner of DLA Piper’s Baltimore office, to its executive board. HIKE, established by Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Matt Birk in 2002, provides at-risk children educational opportunities designed to aid them in the classroom.

Sean J. Rogers was approved for membership in the National Academy of Arbitrators. Rogers is an attorney in Leonardtown, Maryland, at Sean J. Rogers & Associates, LLC.

Stu Simms was nominated to The American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Substance Abuse.  Simms is a partner at Brown, Goldstein & Levy, LLP, which also recently added attorneys Brooke Lierman and Laura Abelson.

The American College of Trial Lawyers admitted David C. Driscoll, Jr., to their association as a fellow. Driscoll is a principal attorney at Stein, Sperling, Bennett, De Jong, Driscoll & Greenfeig, P.C.

William Boshnick of Greenblum & Bernstein, PLC, recently lectured before the Japan Patent Attorneys Association on recent patent litigation decisions in the U.S. The meeting was held in Takamatsu, Japan.

Ober Kaler awarded $35,000 in grants to three nonprofit community organizations that work to improve the lives of at-risk youth in Baltimore and Washington, D.C.  Operation Warm, Inc., and the Latino Student Fund received $10,000, each; and St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore received $15,000 for its full day, summer camp program.
