On October 27, 2010, MSBA’s Senior Lawyers’ Section held a lively debate on MCLE between Paul Mark Sandler, the proponent, and the Hon. M. Albert Figinski, the opponent. More than 40 senior attorneys turned out for this at-times heated discussion, which thoroughly engaged the audience and sparked questions and comments from these more seasoned members of the Bar.
While the participants hotly debated the the pros and cons of mandatory CLE, the fundamental importance of continuing legal education in the practice of law appeared lost on no one.
“I take pride in being up-to-date on everything to help my client,” noted Rob Ostrum, a Senior Lawyer in attendance. “That is law practice 101.”
