This Section produced two webinars, including “The America Invents Act – the New Patent Law” and “New Generic Top Level Domain (gTLD) Registration Procedures with ICANN – Potential Trademark and E-commerce Ramifications”. It continued to publish its online newsletter, distributed its Annual IP Law Update on DVD, and coordinated submission of articles to the March 2012 issue of the Bar Bulletin and to the September/October 2012 issue of the Maryland Bar Journal. The Section continued to maintain its own standalone website, featuring its members-only section that includes both publications and presentation materials and recordings from its educational programs, available for download to its members. It continued to offer its members the opportunity to connect socially with two “Chair’s Happy Hours” – one in Baltimore and one in Rockville – and it will present an educational program entitled “Recent Developments in Intellectual Property” at the MSBA Annual Meeting. |
