MSBA’s Judicial Appointments Committee interviews and recommends candidates for judicial vacancies throughout the State of Maryland. The Committee is authorized to advise the Judicial Nominating Commissions and the Governor as to whether a candidate is “highly recommended,” “recommended,” “not recommended,” “not recommended at this time,” or that the Committees has “insufficient information” to form an opinion as to the candidate’s qualifications.
