2024 MSBA Legal Summit Kicks Off in Ocean City

MSBA 2024 Legal Summit kicked off Wednesday morning with over 900 attorneys, faculty, and exhibitors convening from across the state for three days of compelling continuing education, relaxing social events, insight from dynamic keynote speakers, and invaluable networking opportunities with colleagues.

As in years past, MSBA is hosting the Legal Summit at the Roland Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, Maryland.

Legal Summit attendees have a wide variety of continuing legal education sessions to choose from, spanning nine tracks: Mediation and ADR, Practice Updates, Justice, Practice Management and Technology, Trial Skills, Thought Leadership, Ethics, and Approved CLE.

Many attendees took advantage of the MSBA Learn App to learn more about speakers and exhibitors, keep track of CLE sessions, and connect and communicate with each other.

The day’s events continued after the CLE sessions ended, with the Welcome Reception and the Leadership Academy Fellows Graduation at the Convention Center, the Young Lawyers Section happy hour at Aloft Hotel, and the A2JC Welcome Dinner & Fundraiser at Dry Dock 28, and Barristers’ Bar Nights at the DoubleTree Hotel penthouse.

The 2024 MSBA Legal Summit will continue throughout the rest of the week - it’s not too late to join! You can register here.

In addition to CLE, on Thursday, June 6th, attendees can look forward to an Are You Smarter than a Law Clerk, an Afternoon at Seacrets, the Maryland Bar Foundation Annual Meeting and Fellows Induction, Law School Alumni receptions, and the President's Reception.

Friday, June 7th, will feature Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown, Baltimore City State’s Attorney Ivan J. Bates, and MSBA Outgoing President Jason DeLoach in a Fireside Chat,  Legislative Panels from Maryland Senators and Delegates, the New Judges Reception, and the Maryland Pro Bono Service Award Winners Award Presentation. The Legal Summit will end with the Annual Business Meeting, where President-Elect Raphael Santini will be sworn in.
