Maryland's Family and Medical Leave Insurance

The Maryland Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) system will ensure workers are able to take time away from work to care for themselves or a family member while still receiving job protection and earning up to $1000 a week for up to 12 weeks. The FAMLI Team within the Maryland Department of Labor is working to build the FAMLI system ahead of the contribution start date (expected to be July 2025) and when benefits become available (expected to by July 2026).
