The Estate Administration Series is a six-part, 12 hour, comprehensive course presenting the fundamental and practical concepts of estate administration, with an emphasis on the Maryland probate and estate tax provisions. Topics to be covered include: Orphans' Court procedures and forms; the appraisal process; tax on non-probate assets; claims; expenses and fees; distributions including special problems of minors; funding marital deductions bequests; intestacy; unlocated heirs; and lapse and special probate procedures. This course is designed for attorneys who practice in the area of Estate and Trust law, paralegals who assist in the area of Estate and Trust law, Registers of Wills, Orphans' Court Judges, and anyone involved in the administration of an estate.
